Emperors Palace Resort and Kia Motors South Africa have the “World’s Biggest Football” as announced today by Mr Robert Molloy of Guinness World Records. The decision was made this morning at Emperors Palace Resort where an official adjudicator Mr Malloy and a quantity surveyor assessed the ball and confirmed that the Emperors Palace and Kia ball is now the record holder. The giant ball resting on the Chariots Fountain at Emperors Palace is over 15m high and weighs 650kg.
Former Bafana Bafana player and three-time South African Footballer of the Year, Marks Maponyane (left) was one of the many special guests that was at Emperors Palace on Monday morning, July 5 to celebrate the announcement by Rob Molloy (right), Director of Television and Adjudicator Guinness World Records that the world’s biggest soccer ball can be seen, in association with Kia Motors, at the Palace of Dreams. The Emperors Palace and Kia ball which is almost 70 times the size and 1 500 times heavier than the official Jabulani world cup ball can be viewed by the public at the Chariots Fountain next to the D’oreale Grande hotel at the resort until July 18.
